Merge licensed outlines into browser storage on Type Faster—Zod validation, caps, and lookup priority without shipping GPL dictionary files.

Illustration. Import Your Steno Dictionary: JSON and CSV on the Lesson Surface — Steno — Type Faster

What you can import

English gloss plus steno keys per entry. JSON and CSV are supported with a per-browser entry cap. Data stays in `localStorage` on your device—we do not upload your dictionary to the server.

Only import content you are licensed to use. Built-in TFBF and chord curriculum remain the default starter set.

Use stroke lookup after lessons, not during them—recall builds faster when you resist peeking at outlines.

Pair timed Steno WPM runs with lesson units so speed gains trace back to outlines you actually know.
