Steno Leaderboards: Separate Boards for Brief, Chord, and Readback
Type Faster runs three public Steno WPM leaderboards—brief form, chord capture, and readback—each with a 75% accuracy floor. Learn how ranks and bragging moments work.

Apples-to-apples scopes
Mixing chord WPM with readback WPM would reward different skills. Each tab filters `steno_timed_attempts` by `timed_input` so you compete only against the mode you trained.
Steno WPM is **not** QWERTY five-character WPM—compare scores only within the same steno mode.
Use stroke lookup after lessons, not during them—recall builds faster when you resist peeking at outlines.
When chords drop keys, fix rollover or hand tension before you chase higher brief-form speed.

Qualifying runs
Runs save whenever you are signed in. Public rank placement requires **75%+** accuracy on a 30s or 60s timed attempt. Top-three finishes can unlock bragging moments per scope (`steno-brief`, `steno-chord`, `steno-readback`).
After a session, open the matching tab from practice history or compete links to see where you stand.

Pair timed Steno WPM runs with lesson units so speed gains trace back to outlines you actually know.
