Quote Chain Mode: How Collection and the Next Line Work

Quote chain loads a random line from your pack, validates your run on the server, and advances when you finish. Learn what counted, already collected, and not counted mean.

One line, one server session

Your first keystroke starts a server-timed session bound to that quote. The prompt text is loaded on the server so character counts cannot be forged from the client.

When you finish, results submit through the same anti-cheat pipeline as other validated tests. Collection updates only when the server sees a perfect line.

If API errors mention missing RPCs, apply quotes migrations in Supabase before blaming your keyboard.

Screenshot pack-complete moments with context: collection proves accuracy discipline, not hiring WPM alone.

Three outcomes after a run

Counted means this quote was new to your collection and your final accuracy qualified. Already collected means you typed it perfectly before—good practice, no duplicate credit.

Not counted means the server saw mistakes or sub-perfect accuracy even if the on-screen line looked clean after backspacing.

Read the attribution tail before you sprint the quote body; most not-counted lines fail on the author name.

Goals panel at a glance

Watch pack percentage, unique authors collected, session lines finished, and upcoming milestones without leaving the typing surface.

Pack-complete celebrations fire when you clear the starter classics set—pair that moment with the author goals guide if you chase achievements.

Log pack percent and author count separately from standard WPM so progress charts stay honest.

Start a server session on first keystroke in quote chain—submissions without a session cannot credit collection.
