Unifying vs Bluetooth paths

MX and office lines may ship with both dongle and Bluetooth. Pick one connection method, remove duplicates in settings, and pair through Logi Options+ when available.

Try the receiver in a direct port—not through a crowded hub—before RMA.

Separate software settings from hardware: if Sticky Keys or Filter Keys is on, disable it before you blame the switch. Then confirm with the visual checker so you are not chasing the wrong problem.

Photograph your layout before removing keycaps. Use the checker while reassembling so each cap lands on the correct switch the first time.

Try the keyboard checker

Press any key on your physical keyboard and watch it highlight on a full layout—free in your browser, no install required. Use the layout menu if you type on UK, Turkish, Arabic, or other regional keyboards.

Battery and firmware checks

Low charge causes missed first keystrokes. Update firmware in Logi Options+; on Linux or Chromebook, test without vendor software to isolate driver issues.

Document failures with a key test

Screenshot or note which keys fail on the checker for support tickets. Intermittent rows help warranty teams approve replacement faster than vague “sometimes broken” reports.

Continue practicing

This guide is about hardware and input diagnostics. Run the keyboard checker to verify every key, then use a typing test when you are ready to measure speed.
